In his continued efforts to make life abundant for the persons with disabilities, the Oyo State Governor, Engineer Oluseyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of 33 persons with disabilities across the entire Local Governments of Oyo State as Special Assistants to the Executive Chairmen in their respective areas.

This development was made known to the newsmen early today by the Pioneer Director General of Oyo State Agency for the Persons with Disabilities, Barrister Ayodele Adekanmbi, who expressed his heartfelt gratitude to His Excellency for his unusual love and support for the persons with disabilities since his assumption of office as the Chief umpire of the Pace setter State.

Adekanmbi stated that this is the first time in history that priority attention is being freely given to the persons with disabilities, and just like other classes of people, their deserving rights never suffer delay.

This has further confirmed that Oyo State is lucky to be blessed with a God fearing Governor who does not discriminate against anyone but ensures that everyone irrespective of class enjoys equal values and mutual benefits.

I believe it’s not an exaggeration to call Engineer Oluseyi Makinde the best Governor in Nigeria. You will recall that just recently we announced the recruitment of about 510 persons with disabilities into the State Teaching Service alongside the 10 that were enlisted also into the Civil Service. This magnanimity of His Excellency has given us more than just strength to live our dream, but hope that even in disability our abilities can still take us to enviable heights.

Adekanmbi admonished the newly appointed Special Assistants, whose names have already been published on the official website of the Agency for Persons with Disabilities, to seize the opportunity to contribute their quota to the development of Oyo State and pray that God continues to be with Governor Seyi Makinde in all endeavors.
