Today, as Nigeria commemorates 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, I extend heartfelt greetings to all citizens of Oyo State—especially our esteemed community of Persons with Disabilities (PWDs). This day reminds us that democracy flourishes best when every citizen, regardless of ability, is recognized, valued, and empowered.

As the Director-General of the Oyo State Agency for Persons with Disabilities (OYSAPD), I wish to profoundly acknowledge the visionary leadership and unwavering commitment of His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde, Executive Governor of Oyo State. His proactive governance and crucial policy support have enabled (OYSAPD) to achieve significant milestones in the promotion of dignity, inclusion, and well-being for Persons with Disabilities.

Under Governor Makinde’s people-oriented administration, we have witnessed remarkable strides—enhanced accessibility, increased empowerment programs, and policy-driven progress that reflect his unwavering pledge to leave no one behind. These achievements stand as a testament to the Governor’s dedication to a just and inclusive society.

On behalf of the entire Agency, I reaffirm our resolute commitment to ensuring the full protection of the rights of Persons with Disabilities and delivering top-tier services across all areas. We remain steadfast in our mission to integrate PWDs fully into society and to advance impactful policies that transform lives.

May the enduring spirit of democracy continue to guide us as we build a more inclusive, equitable, and compassionate Oyo State.

Happy Democracy Day!
